Dr. Alexandra Perry is the Interim Dean of the McDonough Center for Leadership and Business and an Associate Professor of Leadership and Ethics at Marietta College.  Dr. Perry teaches undergraduate classes in leadership and ethics, oversees the McDonough Center's academic and community engagement offerings, and serves on the College's faculty council and as the faculty advisor to the Student Government Association.  Dr. Perry's reasearch centers on leadership, ethics, and public health, and in particular on healthcare for rural, diverse, and underserved populations, leadership development as a public health intervention, and ethical issues in neonatology, pediatrics, and end-of-life care. She is currently working on a book that looks at end-of-life care in American hospitals, and projects surrounding the opioid epidemic, and rural and indigenous healthcare. Dr. Perry is on the board of trustees of the Bioethics Network of Ohio and is the author or editor of five books including Ethical Leadership: A Primer, co-authored with Robert McManus and Stanley Ward, and published by Edward Elgar. Additionally, Dr. Perry provides ethics consultation for a healthcare system, and her clinical ethics training and specializations include rural health, opioid use disorder, pediatrics and neonatology, blood conservation programs, and transplant and advanced cardiac critical care.
